Customizing the Transportation Industry
Over the years, we’ve worked on a number of projects for the Landtran Group of Companies, a transportation network with operations based in northwestern Canada.
We recently had the chance to work with their newest subsidiary, Custom Landtran Carriers, on a new website.
All of the Landtran Group’s companies have a different focus or specialization. Custom Landtran focuses largely on heavy haul and specialized transport services, meaning they handle the transportation of over-dimensional or oddly sized loads as well as unusual cargo. It was clear that their website needed to showcase just how customized their service is and how far they’re willing to go for their customers.
One of the site’s most important features is the trailer configuration page. We created diagrams of all of their trailer configurations to illustrate each one’s size and features. This is particularly important as some trailers are necessary to meet the regulations of particular jurisdictions, and others are mandatory for carrying specific types of loads. Seeing the size and configuration of each trailer also gives customers a good visual so they can know what to expect.
Another important aspect of the site is imagery. Custom wanted to demonstrate just how far they’re willing and able to go for a client, and photos were the best way to accomplish that. The site has a featured projects page which describes some of the company’s most memorable ventures, punctuated by photos. Whether its driving the Northern ice roads or bringing massive drills up from Texas, there is almost no job that Custom won’t consider, and now they have a way to prove that to current and potential customers.
This website positions Custom Landtran Carriers as a company that brings unique offerings to the Landtran Group, while still maintaining the Landtran Group’s reputation for exceptional service.
