Goldeye Foundation & Conference Centre
Build a new brand to promote all of Goldeye’s possibilities and simplify the booking process for guests.
Goldeye Centre is a camp facility, conference centre, and event venue in Alberta that was in need of more than just a new website. We defined audiences and built a new brand for Goldeye, one that is thorough, highly visual, and informative. The goal was to provide prospective guests with information for different stay scenarios so that they could visualize themselves staying at Goldeye. We weren’t comfortable with just getting people to stay at Goldeye; we want them to experience what the centre has to offer.
We started by expanding the website significantly. We created sections with content geared toward different guest types – including corporate retreats, team building, weddings, youth camps, and vacationers – highlighting what appeals most to each group and answering their most common questions.
Goldeye’s breathtaking natural setting meant visual appeal was an important part of its website. We used photographs taken by staff, as well as by professional and amateur photographers who have attended educational and leadership workshops at Goldeye, to showcase different accommodations, facilities and activities during different seasons and events. The result was an inviting, polished site that achieves commercial appeal without compromising its warmth.
Of course the ultimate goal of Goldeye’s website was to to encourage people to begin the process of booking their stay there. Part of this goal was achieved through content and images, which helped guests visualize their experience. We added to this by placing a Book Your Stay form on the sidebar of each page. The form is only an inquiry, so guests don’t have to commit to anything, making them more likely to fill it out. It requires little information, so getting the booking process started is simple and not intimidating.
Within days of launch, Goldeye saw a spike in site traffic and an increase in booking inquiries.
